Job summary

G&W Electric in Illinois is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations and the performance of the assigned value stream, ensuring safe, efficient production and adherence to schedules.

You will balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale while driving lean Six Sigma initiatives, mentoring staff, coordinating with warehouses and QA, and leading continuous improvement projects across the team.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years directing an hourly or manufacturing workforce.
• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge and leadership in Lean Six Sigma, 5P or other continuous improvement models.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day manufacturing operations and the performance of employees.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results.
• Lead continuous improvement activities and lean initiatives across the value stream.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Manager to maintain proper inventory levels for productivity.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
