Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a mechanically inclined Label Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday–Friday) in Cypress, CA. You will own the operation of label manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, efficient production meeting customer demand.

The role requires 1–2 years of machine operation experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail. High school diploma or GED is required; training emphasizes SOPs, safety, and ERP logging.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in machine operation, manufacturing, or mechanical equipment setup.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail including color distinction and precise measurements.
• Physical stamina to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, calibrate, and run label machines per daily schedules and SOPs.
• Troubleshoot equipment, identify root causes, and collaborate with supervisors to resolve issues.
• Log raw materials in ERP using FIFO methods to minimize waste and track quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe workstation and follow all safety rules and PPE guidelines.
• Assist with distribution tasks and support team members across shifts.
