Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation is hiring a Label Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (2PM-10:30PM, M-F) in Cypress, CA. You will operate manufacturing equipment, ensure quality, and meet production targets.

The role requires 1-2 years of related experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and follow SOPs and safety rules. Competitive hourly pay plus benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in machine operation, manufacturing, or mechanical equipment setup.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a drive to understand equipment operation.
• Ability to distinguish colors, read fine measurements, and perform visual quality checks at close range.
• Comfortable standing most of the shift, reaching, and safely lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate & Maintain: Set up, calibrate, and run label machines according to daily job schedules and SOPs.
• Troubleshoot & Improve: Monitor equipment for accuracy and quality and resolve production issues.
• Inventory & Systems: Log raw materials in the ERP system using FIFO to minimize waste and track quality control.
• Safety & Workplace: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation and follow PPE guidelines.
• Team Collaboration: Assist with distribution tasks and support team members across shifts.
