Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Jonestown, PA seeks a 2nd Shift Operations Supervisor to oversee international transportation and brokerage activities, ensuring compliance with federal and foreign regulations. You will supervise staff, monitor performance, and maintain customer service quality while coordinating with customs and operations teams.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience, a strong grasp of import/export regulations, and a commitment to process improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four years related experience minimum.
• At least one year supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of ITAR, Import Brokerage, Export Compliance, Hazmat Regulations and recordkeeping.
• Some professional certifications may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
• Maintain performance statistics.
• Assist in retention and training efforts of staff and customers.
• Review and monitor shipment documentation for accuracy.
• Provide responsible supervision and control for all departmental activities.
• Compute duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise exported/imported to and from foreign destinations.
• Examine documents to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Communicate with customs officials to obtain release of incoming freight.
• Establish, monitor and revise policies and service standards for customs clearance operations.
• Ensure policies and procedures are consistently administered.
• Identify areas of concern in clients’ import/export processes through monitoring of team performance.
• Communicate with operations manager regarding progress and issues.
• Conduct meetings with staff to assess status and discuss improvements.
• Address employee performance problems per policies.
