Job summary

Sonoco in Jefferson, TX seeks an Industrial Maintenance Electrical Technician to maintain and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems on the second shift. You will troubleshoot PLCs, service drives, and perform preventive maintenance.

This role requires a high school diploma (associate preferred), experience in maintenance, and proficiency with CMMS, NFPA 70E safety standards, and welding/fabrication as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, vocational focus preferred.
• Experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance and PLC troubleshooting expected.
• Proficiency with CMMS and reading schematics is essential.
• Ability to read PLC logic diagrams and perform safe electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, robotic/automation, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems.
• Install/repair/maintain AC and DC drives and motors.
• Troubleshoot PLC programs and modify/write programs as required.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Document all maintenance activity in CMMS and follow safety and 5S standards.
