Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Salina, Kansas, seeks a Chemical Process Tank Technician to monitor galvanizing equipment and fluids, adjust flow rates, and ensure safe, high-quality galvanizing operations. You will maintain crystal levels, mix acids, and perform light maintenance.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing most of the shift, and wearing PPE. Schedule is 2nd shift; salary is listed with a second-shift premium. No degree required; 0–1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• No Degree
• 0–1 year of relevant experience
• Must be able to operate forklift and use hand tools, drills, saws and pneumatic tools
• Must wear respirator and other PPE
• Ability to stand/walk up to 95% of shift
• Lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds (frequent up to 20)
• Strong safety awareness and ability to read simple charts/diagrams

Responsibilities

• Monitor galvanizing equipment and adjust flow rates
• Add acid and maintain fluid levels and temperatures in tanks
• Operate the MZR machine and assist with loading crystal bags
• Perform minor maintenance on galvanizing tanks
• Washing down tanks and housekeeping
• Maintain accurate logs and communicate issues to supervision
