Job summary

Valmont Industries in Salina, KS, seeks a Chemical Process Tank Technician for galvanizing operations. You will monitor equipment, adjust flow, and maintain tanks while handling acids and solvents. The role includes operating the MZR machine and performing basic maintenance.

2nd shift offers compensation of $23/hour plus a $1 shift premium. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lb and work extended shifts with PPE. Training provided.

Qualifications

No Degree required but a high school diploma or GED is expected.
Ability to perform basic math and read simple charts or diagrams.
Comfort with safety protocols and PPE in a production setting.
Experience using MS Office for logs and reports.
Ability to operate hand/power tools and basic equipment.

Responsibilities

Monitor galvanized equipment and fluids; adjust flow rates.
Add acid; maintain fluid levels and temperatures in tanks.
Operate the MZR machine and assist with related tasks.
Maintain logs accurately and perform light maintenance.
Support material handling and general plant housekeeping.
