Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking Maintenance Generalists to join our team in Ohio. The 2nd shift runs 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with production days from 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM; additional hours may be required, and you will earn an extra $2.25 per hour for the specified schedule.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants. Candidates should have at least 2 years of mechanic experience or completed industrial maintenance training, with CMMS literacy and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mechanic work experience or completion of an industrial maintenance training program.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures.
• Basic math and reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
• Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues related to plant equipment to minimize downtime.
• Communicate with plant personnel to achieve goals and maintain safety standards.
