Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a maintenance technician for the 2nd shift to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment and plant assets while adhering to Tyson policies. The role includes preventive maintenance on weekends, rebuilding equipment, and assisting with installations.

You will work closely with the maintenance team, follow Lockout/Tagout procedures, and comply with OSHA standards in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months of maintenance experience; enrollment in a maintenance/mechanical program can be considered in lieu of experience.
• Must be able to move equipment weighing 40+ pounds and work in varying climates.
• Must follow Safety Rules (Lockout/Tagout) and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment during production and perform repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Document corrections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Rebuild equipment as required and assist with new installations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on weekends and when required.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to share information.
