Job summary

Tyson Foods in Amherst, OH is hiring Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for the 2nd shift. Openings exist for all experience levels, with pay ranging from $24.40 to $34.85 per hour depending on experience.

This full-time Maintenance Generalist role covers preventive maintenance and repairs of the facility's systems and equipment. Candidates should have at least 6 months of maintenance experience or have completed a maintenance/HVAC training program or a related degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of industrial/general maintenance experience or completion of a maintenance training program.
• HVAC or related training program qualifies for hire.
• Documentation of completion or degree in a related field is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
• Lubricate, replace parts, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components.
• Maintain logs, report unsafe conditions, and help maximize plant efficiency.
• Follow safety, GMP, and attendance policies and work overtime as needed.
