Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a food processing plant in Greater Madison, WI. Starting base rate is $31.00/hour with premium overtime, including time-and-a-half after 8 hours and double-time on Sundays, plus a full benefits package.

Direct-hire, on-site with a Monday–Friday afternoon/evening schedule. The role involves maintaining high-speed packaging lines, conveyors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and basic structural welding in a GMP-driven

Qualifications

• 1+ year of dedicated industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills for machinery repair.
• Commitment to GMP, sanitation, and safety standards.
• US citizenship or permanent resident status and 45-minute commute tolerance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-speed processing lines and perform fault tracing and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and optimize conveyors, belts, and drive assemblies.
• Inspect and service hydraulic and pneumatic systems and valves.
• Weld or fabricate brackets and guards as needed for modification.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety protocols, and sanitation guidelines.
