Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a 2nd Shift General Manufacturing Manager 1 to supervise 15–25 union-represented operators and drive production efficiency. You will plan, issue, and control production schedules, manage material availability, and coordinate with quality and engineering to meet delivery targets.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing or engineering leadership, U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 3 years of relevant experience (Note, 9+ years may be considered in lieu of degree).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate production schedules to meet requirements and oversee status of work in process.
• Assign and manage staff to maximize efficiency and yields; oversee SAP/CATS/Workday transactions.
• Provide direction and training; ensure 5S practices within cell areas; collaborate with QA, engineering, and supply chain.
