Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer 3/4 to support Final Assembly in our Linthicum, MD facility. The role emphasizes developing and optimizing production processes for cost efficiency, with opportunities to influence design for manufacturability.

Required are a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience (or a Master's with 3+), fluency in MS Office, and 3D CAD modeling. A Secret clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM with 5+ years of experience or a Master's with 3+ years.
• Fluency in MS Office applications.
• 3D solid modeling using CAD software.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes focused on production capabilities and affordability.
• Provide ROI justification for process improvements.
• Create and manage project plans for process development activities.
• Design and document tooling for production readiness.
• Identify and procure manufacturing equipment for production.
• Develop and optimize process parameters; revise documentation and work instructions.
• Monitor yields and costs; drive quality improvements.
• Assist with training and support training materials.
• Support maintenance with troubleshooting of process equipment.
• Recommend product design improvements for advanced microelectronics and contribute to design for manufacturability.
