Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a dependable forklift operator for our Walker, MI plant. You will safely operate forklifts, load and unload materials, manage inventory, and support production teams to maintain on-time deliveries. This role requires strong safety awareness and the ability to follow detailed work instructions.

First and Second Shift positions are available at our Walker plant. Applicants should be 18+, able to stand long hours, and possess basic math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• One month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours and perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Observes and complies with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and statutory requirements associated with this job description.
• Operates forklift and other lifting devices to move pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials.
• Inventories materials on the work floor and supplies workers with materials as needed.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
• Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
