Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Walker, MI is hiring a 2nd shift forklift operator to move materials, load and unload pallets, and support production flow. The role requires 18+ years of age, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to stand 8-10 hours daily.

Preferred candidates have HiLo forklift experience and at least one month of related work. Basic computer skills are helpful in daily tasks, with emphasis on safety and efficiency on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• Previous material handling experience preferred.
• HiLo forklift driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move materials and pallets safely.
• Load, unload, and stack materials at designated areas.
• Inventory materials on the work floor and assist production flow.
• Maintain accuracy of weights and labels on production schedules.
• Recharge batteries or replace liquefied gas tanks as needed.
• Follow safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
