Job summary

Flexco in Walker, Michigan is seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler to operate a forklift in a busy, air-conditioned facility. Schedule is Monday–Thursday 2:00 PM–11:30 PM and Friday 2:00 PM–6:00 PM.

Responsibilities include pulling and staging production orders ahead of welding, CNC, and Punch Press work cells; aiding material movement and inventory control. Ideal candidates have a GED or 1+ years of experience, forklift experience, and the ability to obtain a forklift license and overhead crane

Qualifications

• GED or 1+ years of experience required.
• Experience driving forklifts.
• Ability to obtain forklift license.
• Ability to obtain overhead crane operator certification.
• Plans and organizes own work; follows established procedures.

Responsibilities

• 10 drop zones with 20–40 daily pickups; move finished materials.
• Pull work orders for Machine Shop, welding, CNC and component parts.
• Transfer material to fixed locations and staging.
• Assist Receiving as time permits.
• Ensure accurate inventory by weighing/counting parts entering inventory.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement programs.
