Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in Dayton, NJ is seeking a Part Time Forklift Driver on the 2nd shift to support our busy distribution center. You will operate forklifts, move inventory, and help maintain accurate stock as part of a safety-conscious team.

This onsite role requires dependability, good communication, and the ability to learn PKMS and other warehouse systems. You will assist with staging, unloading, and housekeeping while upholding company standards and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience in operating the following: Order Picker, Reach Truck, Pacer, & Turret
• This is an onsite and in office role
• Excellent attendance and willingness to be part of a team – performing whatever duties are necessary
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to learn warehouse management system functions (PKMS)
• Ability to read and verify locations and SKU numbers
• Willing and able to be cross trained and certified to operate any or all WSI DDC equipment: Reach Tracker, Pacers, Swing Reach, Order Picker/TT, Motorized Pallet Jack
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and be a fast learner
• Flexible to work overtime as required
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Work with leadership to ensure the completion of all (Manual and On-Task) tasks by end of each day
• Complete daily pick for the Hub with the use of our inventory management system
• Utilizing the orders to understand where items need to be moved – may or may not include power equipment
• Utilizing the warehouse system to maintain and uphold inventory accuracy
• Ensuring the completion of all staging/sweeping tasks using power equipment
• Loads and unloads, stacks, and stages products utilizing multiple types of power equipment
• Ensure organization and housekeeping of aisles and surroundings daily
• Promote safety awareness and cultivate the safety culture throughout the company to help avoid unsafe or hazardous working conditions
• Other duties as instructed
