Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a 2nd shift Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our food processing client in the Greater Madison area, WI. Base pay starts at $31.00/hour with premium overtime structure including time-and-a-half after 8 daily hours and guaranteed double-time on Sundays.

This is a direct-hire opportunity with full benefits. The role focuses on high-speed packaging lines, fluid power systems, and mechanical drive assemblies, with strong emphasis on GMP compliance and safety

Qualifications

• 1+ year of dedicated industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors.
• Comfort in a food-safe processing environment with GMP.
• US work authorization (Citizen or Green Card).
• Willingness to commute within 45 minutes of Greater Madison, WI.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-speed processing lines with mechanical troubleshooting and rapid fault-tracing.
• Service conveyors and drive assemblies, troubleshoot and rebuild components.
• Diagnose high-pressure pneumatic/hydraulic systems and fluid power loops.
• Execute structural modifications with MIG/TIG welding as needed.
• Ensure equipment and work areas comply with GMP, sanitation, and safety rules.
