Job summary

Carpenter Co. is hiring a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift at our Fogelsville, PA manufacturing plant. This role handles safe operation of equipment to ensure material meets customer specifications and production schedules.

The position requires high school diploma or GED, prior operator experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to read a tape measure. Training is provided, with occasional weekends/holidays as needed.

• Prior machine operator experience.

• Ability to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Perform cutting operations according to programs and customer specifications.
• Perform quality checks on materials to ensure specifications.
• Unload finished cut foam material and transport to next production area.
• Place excess trim material in baler.
• Maintain communication with line personnel to minimize downtime.
• Record pertinent information of programs.
• Operate baler and secure trim material.
• Cross-train to operate other cutting equipment.
• Other duties as deemed necessary by supervision.
