Job summary

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Machine Operator B on 1st shift at our Fogelsville, PA plant. This position is responsible for the safe operation of a specific piece of equipment used to manufacture components and finished products for internal and external customers as defined by a daily production schedule.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• On the job training provided; prior machine experience is a plus.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to use computerized equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Forklift certified.
• Must be able to read and interpret a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Perform cutting operations according to specifications.
• Record data into the SAP system.
• Conduct quality checks of all material to meet specifications.
• Follow work instructions to maintain requirements.
• Ensure finished product is labeled correctly.
• Read and interpret a tape measure.
• Transport and load product to designated area/trailer as needed.
• Assist with inventory.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
