Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Mount Airy, NC, is hiring an Operator B for the 2nd shift to safely operate foam bedding cutting and packaging machinery, maintain clean and safe work areas, and communicate with management and team leads.

The role requires reading and interpreting measurements, recording data in SAP, performing quality checks, and following work instructions. Overtime and flexible hours are available; forklift certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Performs cutting operations according to internal and external customer specifications.
• Records pertinent data into the SAP system.
• Conducts quality checks of all material to meet customer specifications.
• Follows work instructions to maintain requirements.
• Must adjust cutting requirements to maintain efficiency.
• Must make sure all finished product is labeled correctly.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
• Accurately transports and loads product to designated area and/or trailer as needed.
• Assists with inventory, as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
