Job summary

Elite Comfort Solutions, a Leggett & Platt Company, seeks a Machine Operator II to cut or slice foam to customer specifications on the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM; overtime likely). Must be at least 18 and able to read a tape measure.

Prior machine operation experience preferred; HS diploma or GED required. Responsibilities include coordinating foam flow, reporting to the lead at shift start, checking sizes per ticket, assisting with loading/unloading, and training new hires as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Machine operation experience preferred.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate foam and orders flow through production.
• At shift start, report to lead to determine what needs to be cut or slit.
• Check tags and measure blocks before cutting to ensure correct sizes.
• Assist unloading machines as needed.
• Re-measure after cutting to ensure proper size per ticket.
• Assist in pulling blocks from the wall and mark with size and foam type.
• Change blades safely; follow safety protocols.
• Maintain housekeeping in shipping area; operate all department machines as required.
• Train new employees on various jobs as needed.
