Valmont Industries, Inc. is hiring for a Fitter/Welder on the 2nd shift in El Dorado, KS. The role involves welding steel, metal and aluminum components to layout specifications from blueprints and work orders using GMAW, FCAW and SAW processes.

You will read blueprints, tack weld, and prep material with grinders and drills while using overhead cranes to position parts. A safety-first mindset is essential. Starting wage is $27.11 per hour with a $1.50 per hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must read weld symbols and blueprints.
• Able to perform simple mathematics and measurements.
• Experience with fitting/welding in manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow fit and layout instructions from detailed drawings.
• Tack weld materials into place and prep surfaces.
• Operate grinders, buffers, drills to prep material.
• Move and position parts using cranes; assemble components by welding.
• Ensure safety and maintain clean, organized workspace.
• Meet production goals while upholding quality and safety standards.
