Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking an individual contributor for welding and fabrication work. You will operate MIG (GMAW) welding equipment, read blueprints, and prepare poles for final weld-off.

Certifications in AWS/CWB and related customer requirements are required, with the ability to weld in flat and horizontal positions. The role involves setting up machines, using oxy/acetylene and plasma cutting tools, and performing quality checks.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and flat sheets to weld scheduled work.
• Maintain weld certificates for AWS, CWB, and other customer certifications.
• Operate welding equipment and perform standard maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Weld and finish welds and record labor.
• Set up machines per specifications to produce usable parts.
• Use blueprints to determine weld procedures and ensure weld integrity.
