Job summary

Valmont Industries in Elkhart, IN seeks a 2nd Shift Welder to join our fabrication team. You will fuse or weld metal components using GMAW, read blueprints, and operate production equipment to build towers and structures with safety and quality in mind.

You will set up welding equipment, follow procedures, and collaborate with teammates to meet schedules while maintaining a safe, clean work environment and accurate labor reporting.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Three to five years MIG welding experience in a production environment.
Able to read weld symbols and blueprints.
Basic math and ability to interpret shop drawings.
Able to operate overhead cranes (preferred).
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Fuse or weld metal structures using GMAW in fabrication of towers and components.
Set up welding equipment and adjust settings as prescribed.
Read blueprints and maintain labor reporting systems.
Maintain safe and productive work environment and follow safety rules.
Perform general maintenance of welding equipment and tooling.
