Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie, Riverside, CA, seeks a 2nd shift Fabricator to bend, seat, flange and top flange material according to work orders and drawings, with safety and quality at the forefront. Shift hours are 2:30 p.m.

to 11:00 p.m., and the role offers a $0.75 shift differential. You will set up, program and operate Automatic presses, Turret presses and related equipment; perform fabrication and layout; troubleshoot quality issues; conduct basic maintenance; and train teammates while supporting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Strong math, fractions, ratios, and proportions skills.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Effective communication and customer service mindset.
• Safety-focused, with safe work practices and a clean environment.
• Ability to manage time and tasks independently.
• Familiarity with quality standards and QA processes.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and company policies.
• Understanding of production processes and basic material flow.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate production machines to ensure safety, quality and efficiency.
• Perform fabrication and layout work to meet production requirements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and verify part quality with measurement tools.
• Maintain equipment and adhere to safety procedures and preventative maintenance.
• Train and support fellow production staff and promote safe fabrication techniques.
