Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie, Riverside, CA, seeks a 2nd shift Fabricator to bend, seat, flange and top flange material according to work orders and drawings, with safety and quality at the forefront. Shift hours are 2:30 p.m.

to 11:00 p.m., and the role offers a $0.75 shift differential. You will set up, program and operate Automatic presses, Turret presses and related equipment; perform fabrication and layout; troubleshoot quality issues; conduct basic maintenance; and train teammates while supporting

Responsibilities

• Train and support fellow production staff and promote safe fabrication techniques.

YOU

As a 2nd shift Fabricator, you will be responsible for bending, seating, flanging and top flanging material according to work order and production drawing specifications in such a manner as to achieve safety, quality, efficiency and lean production goals. The shift hours are 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and the role is eligible for a $0.75 shift differential.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)

• Machine Set‑Up, Programming, and Operation - 40%
  Independently performs set‑up, programming, troubleshooting, and operation of one or more production machines, including: Automatic presses, Turret presses, and Utility presses (shears, press brakes, manual presses)
  Ensure machines run efficiently, safely, and to required specifications.
• Fabrication and Layout Work - 25%
  Performs layout, fabrication, and assembly tasks needed to meet production requirements.
  Creates and fabricates customer specialty items when required.
• Troubleshooting and Quality Control - 15%
  Diagnoses mechanical and process issues with equipment or fabricated parts.
  Verifies accuracy of completed work using measuring tools and quality standards.
• Equipment Maintenance and Safety Compliance - 10%
  Conducts basic equipment care, cleaning, and preventative maintenance.
  Follows all safety, operational, and company production procedures.
• Training and Team Support - 10%
  Trains and assists other production employees.
  Provides guidance on machine operations, safety practices, and fabrication techniques

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This position requires domestic travel up to 5% of the time.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Riverside CA.

PAY

$20.75 - $25.40 / hour

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.
