Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. in Riverside, CA is seeking a 2nd shift Fabricator to bend, seat, flange, and top-flange material according to work orders and drawings. You will set up and program production machines, ensuring safety, quality, and lean production goals.

You will perform layout, fabrication, and assembly to meet production requirements, troubleshoot and maintain equipment, and train teammates in safe working practices. Travel up to 5% may be required; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and ensure accuracy and completeness.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, troubleshoot, and operate production machines (presses) to meet safety and quality specifications.
• Perform layout, fabrication, and assembly tasks to meet production requirements and create customer specialty items when needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment, verify accuracy using measuring tools and quality standards.
• Maintain equipment through basic care and preventive maintenance; follow safety procedures.
• Train and assist other production employees on machine operations and fabrication techniques.
