Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie, a leader in engineered structural connectors, is seeking a Fabricator for 2nd shift in Columbus, OH. You will bend, seat, flange parts per drawings, and operate press brake and other manual fabrication equipment with a focus on safety and lean production.

The role requires willingness to learn additional fabrication processes, with a 2:30pm–1:00am schedule Monday–Thursday and a $2.00 shift differential. Relevant experience and strong attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3 years related experience or training.
• Knowledge of materials, processes, quality control and cost optimization for manufacturing.
• Ability to read prints and understand production drawings.
• Attention to detail and safe work practices.
• Ability to pass exam on production drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake and manual fabrication equipment to manufacture parts per prints and work orders (75%).
• Perform quality inspections per procedures using calipers, micrometers, tape measures; communicate issues to leadership (15%).
• Package finished products, label, palletize, and maintain a clean work area (10%).
