Simpson Strong-Tie in Riverside, CA is seeking a 2nd shift Fabricator to set up, program, and operate multiple presses to meet safety, quality, and production goals. The role emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and adherence to lean manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities include machine setup, fabrication, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training peers while ensuring accuracy and efficiency on a fast-paced shift with a $0.75 differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Mathematical reasoning for fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Strong communication to relay information and listen effectively.
• Safety-focused with safe work practices.
• Self-management and time efficiency.
• Knowledge of quality standards and quality control processes.
• Ability to work independently following instructions and policies.
• Understanding of production processes and material handling.
• Ability to monitor machine gauges and indicators.

Responsibilities

• Machine Set-Up, Programming, and Operation on multiple presses; ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Fabrication and layout to meet production requirements; create customer specialty items when needed.
• Troubleshoot and perform quality checks on completed work with measuring tools.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and adhere to safety procedures.
• Train and assist other production employees; share best practices.
