Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Fabrication Machine Operator Lead for the 2nd shift based in Cartersville, GA. Reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor, you will guide other operators, perform pre-operation activities, and monitor multiple machines to ensure high-quality production with minimal downtime.

The role requires standing 10 hours in a non-climate-controlled environment, with overtime as needed. Excellent reading of blueprints and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) is preferred.
• Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Experience as a Machine Operator.
• Knowledge of Production Procedures.
• Ability to read Blueprints, Schematics and Manuals.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Teamwork and the ability to work independently.
• Multitask and maintain safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in Atkore’s safety program.
• Provide direction and guidance to other Fabrication Machine Operators.
• Cross train in different shop areas as required.
• Follow safety controls and PPE and maintain safe work practices.
• Operate and monitor multiple machines to ensure quality production.
• Communicate with team to sustain continuous production of correct product.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation.
