Job summary

Eaton’s PDCA Power Distribution Control Assembly division in El Paso is seeking an Engineering Technician for 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.).

The role supports manufacturing by interpreting 3-D models, bills of materials, and drawings, using Inventor and CAD tools to ensure assemblies meet specifications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, verify quality standards, and assist with procurement and installation planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
• 1 year manufacturing experience or a technical degree.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and CAD drafting principles.
• Experience with electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Examine 3-D models and drawings using Inventor to support manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet product specs and drawings.
• Check work for compliance with plant Quality Standards.
• Analyze tolerance and design standard requirements for assemblies.
• Prepare information for material procurement and installation.
• Review BOMs related to manufacturing processes.
• Support Lean Systems, Quality Systems, MESH and Pro Launch initiatives.
• Assist plant with Change Management to implement process changes.
