Job summary

Eaton in El Paso, Texas is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support the Power Distribution and Control Assemblies division. This on-site position offers a 3:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. schedule and a base hourly rate of $28.00 with a $1.00 shift differential.

The role involves assisting in setup, process improvements, data analysis, and collaboration with engineers to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in engineering support or technical roles.
• Must live within 50 miles.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup, calibration, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
• Support process improvement projects to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
• Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement new processes and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain documentation such as work instructions, process sheets, and equipment logs.
• Train operators on proper equipment usage and process adherence.
• Investigate, analyze and recommend alternate equipment and manufacturing methods.
