Job summary

Northrop Grumman Amherst in Buffalo, NY, is seeking an Assembler 3 (2nd Shift) to join a team focused on state-of-the-art simulation systems. This role supports assembly of electronic components, following drawings and process instructions to meet customer requirements.

The position offers a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off), a clean, modern facility, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and 401(k) matching. Citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 4 years of assembly or electronic experience, or an associate degree
• Soldering experience at Class 2 level
• Ability to read and work from written directions and drawings
• Able to move up to 40 pounds
• US citizenship
• Experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components per drawings and job aids to meet customer requirements.
• Perform fine-pitch soldering, BGA rework and microelectronics assembly as needed.
• Ensure work meets industry and company standards and release documentation.
• Record production data in travelers and quality records.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers and supervisors to clarify build instructions and suggest improvements.
• Follow safety, ESD and cleanliness guidelines; complete training classes.
