Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Assembler 3 (2nd Shift) in Amherst Systems, Buffalo, NY. You will assemble and test state-of-the-art simulation systems, following detailed drawings and process instructions.

The role requires Class 2 soldering experience, ability to work with microscopes, and reliable teamwork in a manufacturing setting. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), and PTO. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED with 4 years assembly/electronic experience, or an associate degree in a technical discipline.
• Experience soldering at a Class 2 level.
• Ability to read and follow written directions and drawings.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and ability to move up to 40 pounds.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components using drawings, diagrams, and job aids to meet customer requirements.
• Perform fine-pitch soldering, BGA rework, and microelectronics assembly as needed.
• Operate production equipment safely and according to standards.
• Conduct in-process continuity checks and inspect completed work for conformance.
• Record production data and update travelers and quality records.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and supervisors to clarify instructions and improve processes.
• Adhere to safety, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness guidelines.
