Job summary

Northrop Grumman Amherst Systems Buffalo in Buffalo, New York seeks an Electronics Technician (2nd Shift) to test and troubleshoot RF and digital equipment, analyze malfunctions, and perform assembly and calibration tasks in a state-of-the-art facility.

The role requires manual dexterity, experience with RF/digital test gear, and the ability to work under a microscope. A 9/80 schedule, comprehensive benefits, and team collaboration are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant experience, or an associate’s degree plus 2 years; or military electronics schooling plus 2 years.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting RF and digital equipment.
• Experience with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot RF products including RF drawers, discrete RF components and microelectronic parts.
• Test and troubleshoot digital circuit cards.
• Analyze equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions.
• Diagnose malfunctions using schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings.
• Perform RF tuning on microelectronics under a microscope.
• Perform maintenance or calibration on test equipment.
• Record and verify data in test systems.
• Follow proper documentation and write/modify test procedures.
