Job summary

Northrop Grumman Amherst Systems in Buffalo, NY, seeks an Assembler (2nd Shift) to join a team focused on aerospace electronics and state‑of‑the‑art simulation systems. Assemble components from drawings, perform soldering and inspection, and ensure workmanship meets build documentation; work in a clean, modern facility with a 9/80 schedule.

Qualifications include HS diploma or GED, U.S. citizenship, ability to lift 10 lbs; IPC‑610/J‑STD 001 preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to move objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components using drawings and job aids to meet customer requirements.
• Perform soldering, BGA rework, and manual/ automated assembly of microelectronics.
• Operate basic production equipment (soldering stations, crimp tools, microscopes, ovens) safely.
• Inspect work for workmanship and compliance to released build documentation; perform rework as needed.
• Record production data in travelers and shop floor systems.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and supervisors to clarify build instructions.
