Job summary

Electronic Power Design, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Assembler to join our Manufacturing team in Houston, TX. The role focuses on assembling switchboards and control systems per engineering drawings while upholding UL-891 standards.

You will work with Supervisors, Mechanical Assemblers, Engineering, and Production to ensure on-time, accurate manufacturing. The position offers growth toward Lead Electrical Assembler and Manufacturing Leadership roles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical certificate in Electrical Technology or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of electrical assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with electrical hand tools and assembly equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical components, wiring systems, and switchboard assemblies per drawings and specifications.
• Install wiring, devices, control components, and electrical hardware accurately.
• Perform assembly activities in accordance with UL-891 standards.
• Verify completed work meets quality and workmanship requirements.
• Support production schedules through timely completion of tasks.
• Record assembly activity and production metrics in GSS.
• Collaborate with teams to maintain production flow and participate in lean initiatives.
• Communicate production issues and improvement opportunities.
