Job summary

Electronic Power Design, Inc. in Houston is seeking an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Assembly Manufacturing Supervisor (2nd Shift) to lead electrical assembly operations and ensure safety and quality.

You will supervise assemblers, coordinate with engineering and planning, drive production schedules, and develop high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; an Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of electrical assembly experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Experience with ERP systems; Global Shop Solutions (GSS) is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily electrical assembly operations for UL-891 switchboards, control systems, and custom electrical equipment.
• Assign work based on production priorities while monitoring workflow, labor utilization, and schedule adherence.
• Ensure products are assembled according to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate activities with Engineering, Planning, Mechanical Assembly, Warehouse, and Quality teams.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop a team of electrical assemblers.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support employee training and development.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, workforce planning, and cross-training initiatives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
