Job summary

Switchgear Power Systems in Wisconsin is seeking Production Assembly Technicians (Electrical or Mechanical) for the 2nd shift to build custom electrical power distribution equipment. You will work from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs, collaborating with a team to ensure safety and quality.

You may be placed in Electrical or Mechanical Assembly based on experience and interests, with a 4-day work week, a $3.00/hour shift differential on the 2nd shift, paid training, PTO, profit

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or related trades preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read or learn assembly drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong safety ethic and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to overtime and a 4-day work week schedule.

At SPS, our Production Assembly Technicians (Electrical or Mechanical- 2nd Shift play an important role in building custom electrical power distribution equipment used across a variety of industries. Working as part of a collaborative manufacturing team, you'll use hand tools, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of material to build high-quality products safely and accurately.

This posting is designed to build our production team across both our Electrical Assembly and Mechanical Assembly departments. Based on your experience, skills, and interests, you may be placed into either role during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble custom electrical equipment and enclosures.
  • Install electrical and mechanical components using assembly drawings.
  • Wire electrical control panels and equipment according to wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Verify materials and components against bills of material (BOMs).
  • Safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure workmanship and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with teammates to complete projects efficiently.
  • Contribute ideas for continuous process improvement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
