Job summary

Hope Network BHSE is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a full-time 2nd shift. You will empower individuals to build independence and participate in their community with support from a caring team.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor safety, attend medical appointments when needed, and document care plans. A compassionate attitude, reliability, and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/ GED required.
• Valid State of Michigan driver's license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid.
• Shift Full-Time / Part Time including weekends and holidays.
• Possess basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety 24/7 with checks and supervision.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Build trustful relationships through clear communication.
• Partner with individuals served, community, and professionals.
• Develop problem-solving, communication, and independence skills.
• Assist social/leisure activities and daily living tasks.
• Assist with activities of daily living (getting around, bathing, dressing, meals).
• Monitor medical vitals and relay information to the care team.
• Understand and help implement care plans and document accurately.
