Job summary

Hope Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the 2nd shift. This full-time, on-site role supports individuals in daily living, safety, and community integration, working under supervision and collaborating with care teams.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Michigan driver's license, the ability to lift 50 lbs, CPR/First Aid certification, and basic computer skills. Weekend and holiday shifts are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Michigan driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Shift full-time including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety 24/7 with one-on-one or 15-30 minute checks.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Build trust through consistent, empathetic communication.
• Foster partnerships with individuals served, community and professionals.
• Help develop problem-solving, communication, and independence skills.
• Assist with social and leisure activities and community participation.
• Assist with activities of daily living (getting to places, bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Monitor health and vitals as needed.
• Attend medical appointments and relay information accurately.
• Read and implement care plans and document accordingly.
• Connect individuals with community opportunities and goals.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

CPR/First Aid Certification
