Job summary

Kemps, a DFA company, is hiring for an off-shift Plant Maintenance Technician at our Rockford, IL facility. This full-time 2nd shift union position offers $33.58–$35.58 per hour, with a 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule Tue-Sat.

The Maintenance Technician maintains machinery, equipment and utilities in a safe, sanitary and efficient condition, performing preventative and unplanned maintenance and communicating with teams across departments.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC or HVAC systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and work orders.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings (drug, background, criminal).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and unplanned maintenance on production equipment.
• Repair and troubleshoot machinery, packaging, processing and utilities.
• Read procedures and service manuals; document work orders clearly.
• Maintain safe, sanitary and efficient work area with GMPs.
