Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Kemps unit, is hiring for an off-shift Plant Maintenance Technician at our Rockford, IL facility. This full-time, 2nd Shift union position offers starting pay of $33.58 - $35.58/hour, with schedule Tue-Sat 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM.

You will be responsible for the care and maintenance of all property and production assets, ensuring safe, sanitary, and efficient operations, staying current with new equipment and techniques.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or PLC systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and service manuals.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Read schematics and service manuals to diagnose issues.
• Follow lockout-tagout and PPE procedures.
• Maintain safe, clean, and sanitary work environment.
• Document work orders and assist with inventory as needed.
