Job summary
Kemps, a DFA company, is hiring for a 2nd shift Plant Maintenance Technician at our Rockford, IL facility. This full-time union position offers a starting pay of $33.58 - $35.58/hour based on experience and certifications, with a Tuesday-Saturday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM shift.
The role entails keeping all production and utility assets in safe, sanitary condition, performing planned and unplanned maintenance, reading schematics, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives to support dairy
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two years in a maintenance role in manufacturing.
- At least one year experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC and/or HVAC.
- Able to handle basic hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and service manuals.
- Utilize tools and meters; maintain paperwork per SOPs.
- Follow GMP and safety procedures.
