Challenge Manufacturing in Pontiac, MI is seeking a controls engineer to design, program and maintain highly automated systems including PLCs, HMIs and robotic welding equipment. You will lead troubleshooting efforts and drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle times and standardize equipment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 2+ years with Rockwell software and AB platforms, and strong electrical install skills.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Rockwell software and AB CompactLogix, GuardLogix, PanelView plus platforms.
• Electrical knowledge: install hardware and wiring.
• Able to program Panel View (HMI) and PLC.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Design and program PLC, HMI, robots and other types of electronic or electrical manufacturing equipment.
• Lead in the troubleshooting of malfunctioning equipment.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities such as cycle time reduction and standardization, plus error-proofing strategies.
• Support plant flow and collaborate across teams to meet customer needs.
• Occasionally arrive early, stay late, or work weekends to ensure deadlines are met.
