Job summary

Velosity CMD is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist for the Forest Lake, MN facility. The role focuses on setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC milling equipment to produce precision components.

The position offers a Monday-Thursday schedule with a 3:30pm–1:30am shift, a pay range of $28.50–$42.75/hour, and eligibility for a 5% quarterly bonus. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for new hires.

Qualifications

3 years experience operating CNC milling machines and programming them using relevant software.
Proficiency in CNC programming and operation, particularly milling machines.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Able to use a computer, calculator, read and write in English and do shop Math.
Familiarity with MasterCam X (ability to back plot programs, and measure dimensions).

Responsibilities

Set up CNC milling machines with the correct attachments and parts to perform the job. Operate and monitor the machines to ensure they are running correctly.
Enter instructions into the CNC equipment based on blueprints, plans, and work orders. Use software like Mastercam to program the machines.
Identify and resolve issues with machine programming or operation to ensure smooth production.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and maintain the equipment to keep it in good working order.
Work closely with engineers, project managers and other team members to meet production goals.
Other duties as assigned.
