Job summary

Velosity CMD Company is hiring a CNC Mill Specialist for the 1st shift in Forest Lake, MN. The role covers setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC milling machines to produce precision components.

The position offers a base hourly pay range of $28.50–$42.75 with a 5% quarterly bonus target and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, 9 holidays, and parental leave.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Certificate in Machine Trades or equivalent preferred.
• Must be legally able to work in the United States.
• 3 years of CNC milling machine operation and programming experience.
• Proficiency in CNC programming and milling machine operation.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Able to use a computer, perform shop math, and read/write in English.
• Familiarity with MasterCam X (back plot programs, measure dimensions).

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC milling machines with correct attachments and parts to perform the job.
• Operate and monitor CNC mills to ensure proper operation.
• Enter instructions into CNC equipment using blueprints and work orders; use Mastercam to program the machines.
• Identify and resolve programming or operation issues to maintain production flow.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and maintain equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
