Job summary

METAL CRAFT in Elk River, MN is seeking a Milling Machinist for the 2nd shift to set up and operate CNC milling machines performing turning, boring, threading, and facing on metal and plastic work pieces.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with base pay plus 15% shift pay, a $3,000 sign-on bonus, overtime as needed, and a benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401K.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in machining or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2-5 years CNC machinist experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines per job routings.
• Read blueprints, routings, and tooling instructions.
• Adjust offsets, tool wear lengths, and cutter compensation.
• Perform quality control and document tolerance zones.
• Work with multiple machines when cycle time permits.
• Other duties as assigned.
