Job summary

Velosity is hiring a Swiss CNC Machinist II for the 1st shift in Brooklyn Park, MN. You will set up and operate Swiss machines (up to 9 axes) and ensure parts meet quality standards.

The role includes a comprehensive benefits package, a 5% quarterly bonus target, and a structured on-site work environment. Candidate will have 3+ years of CNC Swiss machining experience, strong attention to detail, and ability to read English while performing shop math.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Certificate in Machine Trades or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years of CNC Swiss machining experience, preferably in medical device or components manufacturing.
• Able to do independent setups and troubleshooting.
• Able to read English and perform shop math.
• Able to use measuring instruments like calipers and scales.

Responsibilities

• Set up Swiss machines on various production jobs and run them per work instructions and setup sheets.
• Monitor quality per the quality manual and record results.
• Follow ERP system for scrap and nonconformance entries and maintain records.
• Maintain accurate records of completed parts and dimensional integrity.
• Assist level 1 machinist as needed to ensure product quality and customer requirements.
• Read and interpret QC calculations and SPC data and perform offsets and tool changes as required.
• Maintain shift-to-shift continuity by documenting actions and communicating needs.
• Report machine, material and quality concerns to leads/supervisors.
